My Journey & Knowledge Base

My journey in the therapeutic field began in 2012 when I trained as a Reflexologist. Supporting clients enhance their mental and physical wellbeing through touch therapy naturally led me to train as a Life Coach and some years later the next natural progression was to embark on Psychotherapy Training at Metanoia Insitute where I qualified as an Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.

Prior to making the gradual transition to a full time Life Coach and Therapist I worked for 15 years in the corporate world and so have first hand experience of making the jump from a job that paid the bills to a career I'm truly passionate about; supporting people on their journey towards their holistic wellbeing. Over the years I've faced my own difficulties and with the support of a Therapist I worked through these challenging experiences and so I understand what it's like to be on the other side.

Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, MBACP)

I completed a rigorous three year training course at Metanoia Institute and gained a Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling and I am a Registered Member of the BACP.

The training focused on three Humanistic modalities; Gestalt Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy and Transactional Analysis and I draw on each modality according to the individual needs of the client and their treatment plan. Through the healing counselling relationship, I support clients who are experiencing emotional difficulties build awareness about themselves and their relationships. By providing a safe and accepting therapeutic space, clients can begin to reconnect to their authenticity and experience positive psychological, emotional and behavioural change in all areas of life.

I have supported many individuals on their journeys of discovery, personal growth and change and have experience working with a variety of different issues and difficulties.  I have also worked as a Counsellor for the NHS.

Life Coach (Associate Member of the Association for Coaching, AMAC)

I trained at the Centre for Coaching in London and gained a Certificate in Coaching, which is approved by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre, and subsequently became an Associate Member of the Association for Coaching (AMAC).

I am committed to supporting my clients achieve their goals in life and at work and draw on a variety of different coaching tools that best suit their needs and contracted focus, including cognitive behavioural techniques and creative approaches to building awareness and creating change.

I have helped many individuals achieve a wide variety of goals through the application of tried and tested coaching models and my experience has encompassed a number of specialist areas including health, stress, confidence, relationships and careers. I have experience in working as a Coach for the NHS and I am passionate about supporting women in my private practice to build clarity around what might be holding them back from creating a life that is aligned to their truth and helping them find meaning in life.

What People Are Saying

I cannot recommend Catherine highly enough. I had 6 sessions of life-coaching with her over a period of about 3 months and some of the things she got me to think about I found really challenging. I had tried various things before - even a career break abroad - and seen various people about feeling really 'stuck', but without much success. However, about 6 weeks after my sessions with Catherine had finished, I had this amazing lightbulb moment, like I'd suddenly discovered the secret key to life! Although nothing could be seen to have actually changed in practice, my life was suddenly amazing and something to be really excited about. My mindset about everything had completely altered and I found new energy, contentment and a lot more confidence. A couple of months later I met my now husband, which I don't think would have been possible if I'd still been in my previous mindset

Thanks to Catherine and the amazing help she brought my way last year I experienced a difference in the way I felt, created a much better relationship with myself and started to see the path forward for change. I feel so blessed to be having this opportunity to start afresh and I really don’t think I would be in this position if I hadn’t met Catherine and benefited from the amazing time spent working with her.

I have tried therapy in the past but never persevered as I wasn't seeing huge benefits. I turned to coaching to try a different approach when I found myself lacking confidence and direction after losing my job during the pandemic. I am so glad I did! Catherine is amazing to work with. In our short time together, I learned SO much. She broke down my thought processes and challenged me on the unhelpful stories I was telling myself. She has a very empathetic and warm nature. Our time varied greatly as she knew how to tackle goals when I needed this and offered an ear when I simply needed to vent. I also enjoyed the use of creative tasks. I looked forward to our sessions every week and can honestly say I am miles from the person she met on day one. I would not hesitate to call Catherine again if I ever feel like I need bit more help in the future

I went to Catherine at a time in my life when I felt completely lost. She is a very talented coach who knew exactly the routes to take me when I had no idea myself. I am so grateful to her for helping me to find my way and get to know myself again, unlocking parts of me that I had lost or forgotten, and dissolving old stories and fixed beliefs that I had been living my life by. She helped me to focus and remember my true passions and led me to find the inspiration to set up my own creative projects. Catherine also helped me enormously during a challenging period of anxiety and health troubles. The way she helped me to explore what was going on and the tools that she equipped me with were life-changing.
